Acting
Biography
I'm from NYC and have been acting since I was
a wee child. The first few plays I remember doing were Peter Pan (I
played Mrs. Darling at the grand young age of 4), Alice In Wonderland
(I was Alice #5!) and James And The Giant Peach (my teachers changed
the gender of James and I was able to play Jamie).
I played Lucy in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown in the fourth grade
and then my musical "career" abruptly ended after a scarring audition
for The Pirates of Penance where, after the first few notes of
"Poor Wandering One" played and I was supposed to start singing, I was
instead overcome with stage fright and ran crying out of the cafeteria.
I continued to act in straight plays. As a teen I attended the
Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Center, and was lucky enough to study
drama at Oxford University in England. My education advanced at
Tulane University in New Orleans where I was very active in the theater
department.
As a young adult, I have been blessed to perform in theaters all over
NYC. I have originated roles in over a dozen new plays with
the obie nominated Emerging Artists Theater Company off-Broadway and
off-off-Broadway, playing women AND MEN! I've played the role of
Izzie in Crossing Delancey at two different regional theaters under
Equity contracts, and have acted in a restoration comedy and a
Holocaust
drama at the well respected T. Schreiber Studios.
Cinematically, I have played roles in multiple indie films, which have
been screened at many festivals including Sundance.
The journey continues.
